Karaoke Thursday at the Coffee Shop
OK, so Thursday night at 9:00 we're going to debut the initial number one screening of the first paramount premier of the return of Columbus Super Mecha Karaoke at the Coffee Shop (yeah, THE coffee shop). For you 'tards that are busily taking a shit in the Wingate's pool, that would be the coffee shop attached to the front of the Princess Theater.
This first Thursday is going to be somewhat experimental...
I have to figure out how I want everything set up. The stage will be somewhat improvised, and I have committed to taking a stab at using the PA that's in there, which I don't expect to be a permanent solution. But I totally expect that Karaoke will again be a permanent Thursday night fixture, 'cause it will be that much fun.
I'm tentatively planning on the following (tentative means it might change, but probably not this week):
- No cover
- I will have the projector set up
- I will be showing some kind of pre-karaoke entertainment
So dig up all those friends in low places and spread the word. Plan on being one of the first to usher in a New Gilded Age of Karaoke, the likes of which has never been seen upon earth! < insert evil laugh here >
OK, so maybe I got a little carried away. Also, ya'll need to convince them to put the benches back in. The place doesn't work with out the benches.
Most importantly...this means that the position of Karaoke Fluffer is again open as wide as the legs of a coked up Kate Moss. This is a very important job, and it is completely compatible with the Atkins diet. I would like to remind everyone that interviews are completely private and most definitely will not be video taped for distribution on the internet or for use as pre-karaoke entertainment.
I'm stoked, I hope ya'll are too.
