Digging Paul Simon
Man, I am really reveling in the new Paul Simon album. That's some really great stuff. I think my favorite so far is "I Don't Believe."
Acts of kindness, like rain in a draught, release the spirit with a whoop and a shout. I don't believe we were born to be sheep in a flock. To pantomime prayers with the hands of a clock.I can't even explain what it is that I like about it so much. It's almost like the lyrics are disconnected from the music a lot of the time but everything still fits together. I'm not sure how old he is now and I'm too lazy to look it up. OK, I lied. He's 65. And Brian Eno apparently co-produced this album, which I guess explains some of the ambiencesque of the backing tracks.
